I intended to take a walk yesterday to loosen up my legs, but it didn’t happen because my legs just weren’t having it. So, I opted for a day of pampering instead.
I wanted to take a walk this afternoon, but I had a doctor’s appointment. So I figured I’d take a walk before work. But, Mat wouldn’t let me. He told me to take advantage of being able to sleep in a little bit. I figured he was right. So day 2 of rest it was.
But now? I’m already going stir crazy. I may have run 26.2 miles 2 days ago, but I feel like I need to work out. Seriously, what the heck is wrong with me? So tomorrow morning I’m going to take a walk. Waking up at 5 for a walk sounds like cake compared to the 4:30 wake up calls I had for 8 milers a few weeks ago.
Why is it that post-marathon you’re on a high and want to do another one, even though during the race you feel like absolute crap and vow never do do such a thing again?
I swear, running is just as much of a mind game as ballet. Oy vey.
And now that we’ve established that I’m completely insane, let’s talk about food.
Dinner
We had leftover crock pot lasagna soup for dinner tonight.
On the side we had a salad made of spring greens, arugula, carrots, tomatoes, snap peas, feta cheese, and Kraft balsamic parmesan asiago dressing.
I swear, sometimes all it takes is switching up your ingredients in a salad to make you love it again. This salad = winner.
We had some garlic toast too.
I actually didn’t finish my soup – I left about 1/4 of it, maybe more, in the bowl. I just got full. It was weird. That doesn’t usually happen. Maybe it was all the peanut butter I ate from the jar (a la Julie) while making tomorrow’s lunch that did it?
More Things
I was super excited to get a shout out from Skinny Runner yesterday! Yay!
I got a lovely comment from Cara today. It makes me so happy to know that my blog has touched someone in some way.
I have some really exciting things coming up on the blog in the next few weeks. I can’t wait to share it all with you!
Spring break is a little less than 2 weeks away. WHERE DID MARCH GO?
My niece will be born in a little over 2 months. WHERE HAVE THE LAST 7.5 MONTHS GONE?
Now that things are setting down (fingers crossed) we can really focus on the house hunt. I’ve been a bit quiet on that front lately, but I promise to have more news soon, once we figure out what the heck we’re doing.
Question:
What’s going on with you these days?

Awww Thank you for the shout out.
That looks delicious, all of it, and how fun to get a mention from a Blogger you love, that’s so cool!
